You will serve as a RIGGER TRAINING LEADER in the Crane and Rigging Training Branch, Lifting and Handling Department, of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will prepare lesson plans, training materials, including visual aids, for the development of learning through classroom, hands on mock-up and/or on the job situations. You will prepare and conduct formal classroom trade theory instruction for rigger apprentices. You will conduct, schedule, and/or coordinate classroom trade theory instruction for trades. You will prepare and maintain training records and reports, and individual progress records showing academic, trade theory, and work performance ratings. You will prepare and maintain a filling system of training records, progress records, reports, and other documentation, as required, for historical and audit purposes.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
