This position is a Administrative Support Assistant, GS- 0303-7 working in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia for the R5-White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery.

Duties
As a Administrative Support Assistant your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Provide administrative support services such as: prepare and monitor personnel actions; arrange travel and submit travel authorizations and vouchers; prepare, maintain, and ensure accuracy of time and attendance; assist with payroll problems; provide HR assistance and guidance.
Participate in the budgetary process: prepare budgetary projections and reports; track all fund targets and accounting codes; review and report on obligations and expenditures; use Federal budget database; follow all legal and regulatory controls.
Procure supplies and assure obligations are met promptly: prepare invoice payment packages; prepare and monitor purchase requests; participate in market research; procure necessary supplies, equipment, and services; follow procurement rules and regulations.
Update and maintain record system: control the location, arrangement, and use of active files; follow rules and regulations for systematic retention and disposal.
Act as station's certified property officer (CPO): conducts inventory of accountable property; maintains personal and local property database; complete certifications; complete appropriate transfer forms.

In order to qualify for this position, you must possess the Minimum Qualification
Minimum Qualification [GS-0303-07]:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as performing administrative functions, e.g., payroll, personnel, travel, and/or correspondence; purchasing supplies, equipment and/or services; assists in procurement and contracting procedures; assists in budget preparation; preparing and reviewing travel vouchers; serving as a timekeeper using an automated system; coordinating staff training; maintaining records filing system; communicating effectively with others. NOTE: Your resume must contain sufficient information in these areas to be found qualified.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time In Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet both eligibility and qualification requirements for the position of interest by the closing date of the JOA. Specifically,
i. Area of Consideration.
ii. Time-in-grade (TIG) requirements as specified in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.
iii. Time after competitive appointment as specified in 5 CFR 330.502.
