You will serve as a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST (MATERIALS) in the SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT BRANCH, PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will provide management oversight and analysis of all facets of Material Handling and Material Controls for NAVFAC MIDLANT shop stores and truck stocking. You will perform data collection to measure productivity, improve quality, cut costs, and manage resources. You will create material requests, receive material, and issue out material in an automated management system. You will forecast and facilitate adding of inventory to keep up with demand, special projects, and preventative maintenance projects.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Travel is required approximately 20% of the time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing automated material management systems to perform a variety of functions (i.e. enter, extract, and correct data; retrieve recurring and/or specialized reports; set up detailed functional procedures, identify sorting and calculating functions, etc.); 2) Analyzing material data to identify trends and recommend changes in the type of materials stocked; 3) Organizing and delivering briefings to managers to ensure understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR

OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
