This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Program Operations and Local Engagement (OPOLE), Financial Operations & Oversight Group (FOOG). As a Supervisory Program Manager (Deputy Group Director), GS-0340-15, you will serve as Deputy Group Director for the Financial Operations & Oversight Group (FOOG).

Duties

Serves as a Supervisory Program Manager and provides technical reviews and direction to the Financial Operations and Oversight Group (FOOG) staff as the Deputy Group Director. Continuously reviews and analyzes group operations to assure that quality and quantity of work is performed. Consults and assists the OPOLE executive leadership to identify, prioritize, and implement program initiatives to enhance delivery, quality, and value of services to beneficiaries. Provides technical expertise on complex program provider designation and payments, complex debt collection activities, bankruptcy collection efforts, overpayment and collection policies, external audits and reclassification requests.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
