Serves as Administrative Lead in an FAA Service Center Region and Region, Office of Policy, International Affairs & Environment (APL), National Engagement & Regional Administration (ARA) and directly supports the Regional Administrator and reports to the Deputy Regional Administrator. The incumbent plans and executes internal and external programs and serves as the working level liaison between the Staff Specialists, the Lines of Business, and HQ Offices.

Duties

Oversees a variety of administrative support programs such as FOIA, records management, property inventory and annual data calls.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Interviews may be conducted.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-F/GS-5-9 or FV-G, FG/GS-10/11 level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience for the G-Band Level: Experience demonstrating the ability to analyze office problems, to identify factors, gather pertinent data, recognize solutions, plan and organize work, and convey information to high levels of management.Specialized experience for the H-Band level: Experience in (1) supporting senior managers and/or executives in the area of travel, calendar management, meeting scheduling and facilitation, and deliverable tracking; (2) the application of analytical techniques to evaluate and implement methods pertaining to administrative functions; (3) monitoring, tracking, and identifying discrepancies, and recommending solutions involving organization administrative functions such as employee onboarding/offboarding, correspondence tracking, and cross-functional alignment; and (4) interpreting, carrying out, and documenting policies and procedures in the area of records management, property management, and/or informational inquiries.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.Please ensure you answer all questions and follow all instructions carefully. Education

Education substitution for FV-G: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR a combination of education and experience may be qualifying for this position. Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

Foreign education must be evaluated by a private professional organization specializing in interpretation of foreign education credentials or an accredited US educational institution in terms of equivalency to a degree acquired at an American college or university. A copy of the evaluation results must be included, otherwise your foreign education will not be considered.

If you are qualifying based upon your education, you must submit your college transcripts. If selected, official college transcripts will be required.

Education cannot be substituted for experience at the FV-H level.
