About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance.
Duties
Advise the commander and heads of other serviced activities on their EEO responsibilities through periodic status briefings on key aspects of the program.
Direct the Depot-wide Affirmative Employment Program (AEP) for women and minorities in compliance with regulatory requirements and guidance from higher headquarters.
Administer the discrimination complaints processing system in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Supervise and direct a small size work operations involving approximately six employees engaged in professional, technical or administrative work.
Requirements
- This position is designated as moderate risk involving Public Trust. Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation including a credit check to determine suitability for Federal employment and/or the position.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: planning and carrying out continuing Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs; employing methods and techniques typical of EEO programs to include fact finding, analysis, and resolution of complex problems; advising Management and Employees on civil rights laws and equal employment opportunity regulations; preparing and facilitating briefings and trainings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
