The primary purpose of this position is: To manage aviation resources within the Air Refueling Squadron (ARS), serving as the (SARM) squadron aviation resource management (AFSC 1C0X2) manager; assisting in the administration of unit operational support and, training assigned/attached reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.
Duties
Directs, manages, and maintains oversight of all aviation resource management activities for assigned aerial refueling crewmembers and operational support personnel.
Provides technical guidance and skill to inquiries from other agencies, functions or individuals.
Advises 70 ARS/CC, OG/CC, and other staff agencies on all aviation service matters concerning the squadron aircrew status.
Manages the squadron's execution of the Air Reserve Component (ARC) Flying Incentive Pay Program.
In preparation for and participation in a Flying Evaluation Board (FEB), Aeronautical Rating Board (ARB), and Non-rated Aviation Service Disqualification Packages, reviews information supplied by board members against applicable regulatory guidance to assist in providing accurate recommendations to approval authorities (AFRC/A2A3, AFRC/CV, AFRC/CC or the CSAF).

- May be required to attend various training courses to gain/maintain job proficiency.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administration and Management Positions, Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series 0301.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-7, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of the flight management policies, directives, and procedures as they relate to weapon employment and systems, automated flight and training records; knowledge of AF operations, resource management systems and associated programs, interface requirements, browsers, personnel flight records and maintenance; in-depth knowledge of aviation service eligibility, aircrew rating system, aircrew incentive pay requirement, reservists' inactive duty training requirement, aircrew compliment.

EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is atleast 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-7 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-9 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Thorough knowledge of operations principles, policies, and procedures and a comprehensive knowledge of operations support programs, concepts, practices, and requirements unique to AFRC.
Knowledge of aircraft types, aircrew composition, and aviation service eligibility directives.
Ability to work in high stress, rapid response situations.
Knowledge and experience using personal computer (a variety of software and hardware, i.e., word processor, spreadsheet, graphic presentations, e-mail).
Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and investigative techniques to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of Air Force and AFRC aircrew resource management programs for the purpose of extracting and presenting aircrew flight management data.
Skill and ability to prepare project and staff reports and to deliver briefings to the commander's senior staff and management at all levels. Skill and ability to operate ARMS and GTIMS and knowledge of their infrastructure, database, related directives/instructions, policies, and procedures. Ability to troubleshoot/resolve system technical problems.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
