This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Facility and Property Management Division. The incumbent supports the Quality Assurance program and Maximo System (CRRM) by participating in the development, implementation, upgrade, and user support of Maximo. The incument serves as Quality Manager and are charged with inspecting and monitoring a variety of functions involved with the repair, maintenance, construction, and operation of the NARA Buildings.

Duties

As a Facility Operations Specialist, you will: Ensure the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Maximo and the Quality Assurance Surveillance Program (QASP) software systems operate properly and are available to all necessary personnel, so they can monitor contractors charged with the repair and maintenance activities of NARA facilities. This includes developing training materials for both systems. Inspect and monitor building mechanical systems and their various components while in operation as well as in standby condition, at NARA facilities located in the Washington DC metropolitan area, as required. Support the Auto Computer-Aided Design (ACAD) based software program to ensure the proper version is available to BFF personal and the contractor. Conduct periodic surveys of the NARA user community to gather general impressions, user satisfaction with the system, and identify issues causing user dissatisfaction. Develop, administer, and publish user satisfaction surveys.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Utilizing a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for activities such as; creating work orders, tracking assets, scheduling maintenance, reporting; AND Coordinating and/or managing service providers; AND Developing ways to resolve problems or issues that directly affect the accomplishment of goals and objectives. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F): For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11level for 52 weeks.
