The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Housekeeping Aid/Motor Vehicle Operator by performing the full range of cleaning tasks in an assigned area and to operate a variety of motor vehicle capable of carrying passengers/patients, and loads up to and including one(1) ton. This position is located in Pinon Health Center, Division of Administrative Services, Housekeeping Department, Pinon, Arizona.

Duties

Ensure the comfort and safe transport of patients and passengers. Follow all safety rules and other local, state, tribal, and federal rules and regulations pertaining to a moving vehicle. Performs preventative maintenance services and washes the transport vehicle. Reports all malfunctions to supervisor. Drive in all-weather conditions and terrain. Performs housekeeping aid duties such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping and picking up and disposing of trash, when not performing transport duties. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Following oral or written instructions and/or work orders; performing motor vehicle operator duties, including follow oral and written instructions for work assignments, follow established traffic and safety regulations, practices, and procedures pertaining to motor vehicle operation, operating motor vehicles under any or all of the following driving conditions: congested roadways, moderately steep mountainous terrain and/or narrow streets and performs housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping and picking up and disposing of trash. Driver's License: A validState Driver's License is required. Physical Effort: Light physical effort is used reaching, bending, turning or moving hands, arms, feet and legs to operate hand controls on vehicle operated. Incumbent may exert moderate physical effort in the frequent handling of objects weighing up to 40 pounds and the occasional handling of heavier objects, while assisting patients. Considerable physical effort may be required to change a tire and make limited emergency repairs. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
