About the Position: Provides administrative support, advice, and recommendations to the Director, Deputy Director, Executive Officer, and staff on matters relative to the coordination, integration, and synchronization of staff actions, events, general administrative functions, and activities affecting and involving the organization.
Duties
Tasks staff elements from members of the Director's office and senior staff members in accordance with (IAW) Army correspondence policy and procedures.
Monitors the timing and sequence of a number of suspense actions in various stages of completion within the headquarters staff elements and activity to meet fluctuating deadlines.
Serves as a Government Commercial Credit Card holder. Responsible for details of travel to include request for commercial or military air, arrangements for ground transportation, accommodations, office calls, briefings, and socials.
Serves as Protocol Specialist. Plans, coordinates, and follows through on actions related to conference arrangements to ensure facilities, equipment, personnel, and materials are available.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. GS-07 Experience/Education Requirements:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) assignments or projects comprise of administrative functions and productivity. 2) managing the government credit card program, and 3) scheduling conferences. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
OR
Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. Superior Academic Achievement is based on:
(1) Class Standing - Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses, OR
(2) Grade-Point Average (G.P.A.) - Applicants must have a grade-point average of either (a) 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on your official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or (b) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.; OR
(3) Honor Society Membership - Applicants may be considered eligible based on membership in one of the approved national scholastic honor societies listed by the Association of College Honor Societies (https://www.achsnatl.org/).

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
GS-09 Experience/Education Requirements:
Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems. 2) Knowledge of command management processes, policies, and procedures, and an understanding of how the policies and procedures relate to and impact on the administrative and technical aspects of office operations. 3)Skill and ability in performing and completing a variety of concurrent assignments, integrating, and synchronizing staff actions, events, and activities involving senior levels.
OR
I have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree graduate such as business management, business administration, or financial management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification).
OR
I have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least two years of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required three years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).
