This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Serves as a Strategic Planner in the ASA(ALT)’s Strategy and Plans directorate.
Reviews and analyzes various plans, programs, orders, studies, and directives to determine the impact on the ASA(ALT)’s mission and organizations.
Develops coordinated recommendations/proposals and anticipates impacts of plans for senior leader review and decision.
Oversees the development, coordination, and integration of local and off-site plans and programs.
Manages evaluations and analyses of metrics to ensure alignment with strategic planning process and doctrines.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year probationary period may be required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for PROGRAM MANAGEMENT certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
- Drug testing: This position has been designated for drug testing. If you are selected for this position, you may be subject to urinalysis testing prior to appointment and you will be subject to random urinalysis testing as a condition of employment.
- This position requires the incumbent possess and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience:1) Conducting information operational planning or mission analysis to improve process; 2) Collaborating with officials to obtain resolution of organizational issues; and 3) Providing advice on business matters to include any of the following policies, procedures, practices, and/or programming of resources; 4) Preparing reports or briefings to communicate with internal and/or external audiences.
