About the Position: This position is located with the 6th Medical Group at MacDill, Air Force Base, FL.

Duties

Monitor help desk trouble tickets, coordinating with and providing troubleshooting assistance Maintain stocked parts to ensure prompt service and arrange for replacement parts. Perform daily system back-ups and upgrading of hardware and software. Conduct evaluation and analysis of computer equipment and systems to determine if the facility environment can provide for system requirements, and infrastructure is in place to support the system. Assist in the installation and testing of system releases and computer upgrades. Track and monitor system orders, requesting status of orders from contracting office and providing reports to supervisor and hospital staff.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • This position may include Information Assurance (IA) work as an additional duty.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position
  • Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain Security+ Certification within six months from date of hire.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Security + Certification Continuing Education with the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).
