About the Position: Serves as advisor to the Operations Project Manager and other branch and section chiefs to advice on matters involving Project Office to meet management requirements for funds control. Position is being filled at the GS-09 target GS-11 level.

Duties

Provide assistance in maintaining funds control of the overall project. Monitor funds through the review of various computer status sheets and periodic reports. Establish charge numbers and verifies availability of funds as needed. Responsible for the fiscal integrity of the Project. Report to supervisor on performance, progress and training needs of employees on disciplinary problems.

GS-09 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assists in performing budget formulation work involving preparation of detailed analyses of annual and/or multi-year budget estimates for assigned programs into a consolidated budget request; 2) Utilizes automated budgetary system(s) and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting assignments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Performs budget formulation work involving preparation of detailed analyses of annual and/or multi-year budget estimates for assigned programs into a consolidated budget request; 2) Develops background data, information, and documentation to support national dam and levee safety budgets, including research, data compilation and summarization of relevant budgetary data. OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
