About the position: This position will be assigned to the Child Development Center I on Nellis AFB, Nevada.
Regular Part Time employees are guaranteed 20 hours per week but may work up to 34 hours per week.
This position does offer benefits.
Lifts/moves objects weighing up to 40 pounds, constant standing/walking. Exposed to heat/noise/steam/fumes. Danger of burns and cuts.
Must be able to work in areas inhabited by children 6 weeks to 10 years of age.
Duties
The purpose of this position is to prepare and serve nutritionally adequate, wholesome, and appetizing meals to children.
Prepares and serves meals and snacks following established menus for children. Insures children receive foods in proper portions as outlined in food program guidelines. Heats, assembles, and serves lunches or dinners consisting of meats, salads, fruit, and snacks consisting of juice or milk and fresh vegetables, crackers, or cookies. Keeps kitchen area in a clean and sanitary condition.

Requirements
- This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
- This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
- This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain, maintain, and provide evidence of current immunizations this includes annual influenza vaccinations and be free of all communicable diseases.
- U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal Affiliation.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience or training in food serving and food preparation. Experience that demonstrates the ability to follow menus and instructions; to work safely, to do simple arithmetic and to prepare meals for large numbers.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
