About the Position: Serves as working leader of 3-7 employees in accomplishing trades and labor.
Duties
Serve as working leader of a team accomplishing trades and labor.
Maintain accountability of all property and supplies issued to the section.
Delegate instructions from Supervisor to the team to initiate work.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The incumbent may be required to work a rotating shift in order to support military training requirements. These requirements may occur 24 hours a day, and day of the week.
- Incumbent may be required to lift items in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
- Work requires frequent bending, stooping, and long periods in awkward positions.
- Work is performed under prolonged exposure to weather extremes (rain, cold, hot, and dusty) conditions.
- Incumbent is required to operate government and commercial 4-wheel-drive vehicles.
- Wears protective equipment and clothing as required.
- Incumbent must possess a valid state driver's license.
- Incumbent must pass a pre-employment physical.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Target Systems Leader without more than normal supervision. The ability to perform Target Systems Leader duties of passing on instructions received from supervisor to other workers to get work started, (e.g., assigns the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led). Working alongside the employees being led and sets the pace. Demonstrating proper work methods and safety measures while performing common tasks in the operations of target devices in areas such as legacy, non-standard and Future Army System of Integrated Target (FASIT) compliant devices and can service/test and/or adjust, install, and/or clean automated or manually controlled target systems. Ensuring needed materials and tools are available and needed stock is obtained from supply locations. Obtaining guidance or decisions as needed from supervisor on problems that arise during the work. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Performs duties in all types of weather. Subject to heat, cold, rain, dust, dirt and noise. Subject to hearing loss caused by exposure to weapons firing in the immediate vicinity of work area. Observes and enforces safety rules and regulations on a continuous basis. Wears protective equipment and clothing as required.
