About the Position: You will serve as a supervisor that directs the activities of a multifunctional team, which may include Equipment Specialists, Inventory Management Specialists, Supply Management Specialists, Technical Writers, Logistics Management Specialists and other specialists.
Duties
Directly supervises the activities of a multifunctional team, which may include Equipment Specialists, Inventory Management Specialists, Supply Management Specialists, Technical Writers, Logistics Management Specialists and other specialists.
Plans and schedules work to be accomplished by subordinates. Provides subordinates the requirements and descriptions of the work to be performed and tracks progress.
Articulates and communicates to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion
Advises the Director with regard to achieving effectiveness of operations through the optimum planning, budgeting, and utilization of personnel and financial resources. Prepares and gives briefing to higher-level management.
Ensures that the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team’s strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 or equivalent) grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Assisting with budget execution by ensuring obligations and expenditures are submitted within the regulatory time constraints; 2) Reconciling fund status imbalances to facilitate corrective actions; AND 3) Preparing financial reports by gathering documents of receipts, disbursement and budget execution.
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 or GS-11 equivalent.
