You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MIL/OA) in the OFFICER SELECTION TEAMS in the MARINE CORPS DISTRICTS RECRUITING STATIONS of 9TH MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will be serving as an administrative assistant Official Selecting Officer, coordinating the academic calendar, schedule meetings, accounting and management of the marketing budget.
You will be verifying application information requirements, test scores, transcripts, education accreditation and various other forms.
You will be utilizing database tools to record candidate information and creating managerial reports relating to the candidate pool status.
You will be preparing all official correspondence, lists, vouchers, documents, reports and memoranda.
You will be collaborating and liaison with other agencies to obtain or relay information needed to complete personnel processing.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-06) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing clerical support such as administering background screening, reviewing documents, and/or processing applicant packages for commissioning programs (e.g. Marine Corps Officer Programs - the Platoon Leaders Class (PLC), the Officer Candidates Class (OCC), or similar programs).
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
