Duties
Manages the Vending Branch of Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS). Plans, coordinates, supervises and controls direct vending operations that may include food, retail, drink and amusement machines. Directs and supervises storage, inventory control, pricing, cash reports, equipment repair, maintenance and installation of vending equipment. Ensures security of funds, merchandise, property and equipment. Oversees accuracy of reports, receipts, accounts and performance data. Assists in developing business strategies, ensuring policy and procedural compliances, measuring performance and correcting failing strategies. Plans, organizes work schedules and manages internal resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Prepares financial plan, budget, inventories, cost controls and related records and reports. Reviews financial status of the assigned activity and recommends changes considered necessary. Trains, schedules work shift, appraises performance, counsels assigned personnel and recommends personnel actions. Effectively supports the Marine Corps Equal Employment Opportunity policy and ensures compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, hazardous material handling and other environmental issues. Manages new property resources and provides advice, renovations and improvements. Maintains and enforces security for funds, merchandise, supplies and equipment to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste and abuse.

Qualifications
Four years experience that demonstrates possession of principles in planning, coordinating and attaining goals and financial objectives of a large customer-oriented vending operation to include; procurement, merchandising, receiving, storing, maintaining and repairing vending equipment. Thorough knowledge of business practices, economic principles and ability to analyze trends/developments and make improvements in operating programs through innovative marketing, personnel management and retailing. Skill to supervise employees in accomplishment of work. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
