Qualifications

As a basic requirement, applicants must demonstrate progressively responsible experience directly related to the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined under Mandatory Technical Qualifications. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the GS-15 grade level in the Federal service, or its equivalent, with state or local government, the private sector, or nongovernmental organizations. You must demonstrate in your application, significant achievements, increasing levels of responsibility, and a solid record of successful professional performance. In addition: To be minimally qualified for this position, you must meet the following basic requirements: EDUCATION: A degree in accounting; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law. (The term "accounting" means "accounting and/or auditing" in this standard. Similarly, "accountant" should be interpreted, generally, as "accountant and/or auditor.") Failure to meet the basic qualification requirements and address the TQs within the resume will result in your application being disqualified. Mandatory Technical Qualifications (TQs): In addition to specialized experience, applicants must possess the following technical qualifications that represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Please provide examples within your resume and explain the complexity of the knowledge possessed and the sensitivity of the issue(s) you handled. Your résumé must show you possess the following TQs: Financial Management - Demonstrated experience and ability to lead complex financial management programs and activities to include developing financial management and accounting policies, financial statement preparation, managing audits and corrective action plans and implementing major complex financial management systems. Financial Analysis - Extensive knowledge of financial analysis theories, techniques, and practices. Skill in applying this knowledge to manage and oversee frequent and extensive revisions of financial plans, programs, and operations. Education
