About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Provide general instructions to subordinate employees to meet project goals. Control work operations to meet mission requirements according to established guidelines. Communicate with Asset Planners to address issues that may cause schedule interruptions. Measure the accuracy of performance standards for subordinates. Counsel subordinate employees on how to improve their job performance.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Federal Wage System employees, WG/WL/WS etc., must satisfactorily complete the appropriate annual Depot Medical Examination.
• One-year supervisory probationary period.
• This position may require shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
