Duties

You will assist with the daily operations of the Marine Corps Apprenticeship Program. You will provide basic education and career information to military personnel, their family members, and other individuals seeking assistance at the Education Office. You will assist the Test Control Officer and Assistant Test Control Officer in conducting and administering the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) by directing interested examinees to appropriate testing personnel. You will process routine Tuition Assistance (TA) requests, ensuring that they are compliant with Marine Corps policy, and assist personnel with enrollment and completion of TA forms and associated documentation.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting in the daily operations of education and training programs, (i.e., apprenticeships, testing, tuition assistance, and/or other education or training assistance programs).
