The Summer Law Intern Program (SLIP) is the Department of Justice's competitive recruitment program for compensated summer internships. • Completion of at least one semester of law school is required.

In addition, graduating law students who are entering a full-time judicial clerkship, graduate law program, or qualifying fellowship may intern following law school graduation subject to eligibility rules.
