This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Force Readiness Command, Training Division (FC-T), Enterprise Performance Solutions (FC-Teps), in Norfolk, VA. 

Duties

The incumbent in this position is responsible for the design and development of visual and audio media content in support of the development of training and performance improvement solutions.

  • This position may require a one year probationary period.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.   At the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the federal service.  Examples of specialized experience include: 1. Experience in game engine software such as Unity or Unreal Engine, including basic development skills and familiarity with Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality environments. 2. Experience in 3D model design using software such as Blender, Maya, or 3D Max, ensuring high-quality visual and functional outcomes. 3.Experience in animation techniques, including rigging, skinning, and animating 3D characters and objects to create realistic and engaging experiences. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
