Duties
Conducts project management activities related to logistics during development, proof-of-principles, and deployment
Develops, establishes, implements, and maintains plans, schedules, controls, charts, instructions, and procedures related to the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) aspects of assigned items throughout the life cycle.
Studies and maintains the ILS aspects of assigned programs.
Participates in ILS Management Teams and as an ILS representative at meetings to provide information on ILS objectives for assigned materiel programs.
Coordinates with other organizations in areas of ILS planning, execution, and problem-resolution as necessary for assigned programs
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Position requires business travel up to 25% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the federal service which includes: (1) Developing integrated logistics support plans that address the principal elements of total life-cycle planning; (2) Planning/preparing logistics documentation in support of Milestone Decisions and future training/maintenance requirements; AND (3) Performing basic budgetary requirements for adequate logistics support of assigned systems; AND (4) Evaluating problems to recommend corrective actions. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower band/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
