This position is located at Fort Bliss, Texas. This announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies throughout the program. Duties

Conducts transportation of up to 44 children/youth and staff to and from school, field trips, between facilities and any other situation requiring transportation. Adheres to all state, local, and installation traffic laws and ordinances. Maintains a current CDL and clean driver’s license. Completes and maintains records and assigned documentation. May be required to drive other vehicles on a non-recurring or incidental basis.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15.m., and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation is required.
• Schedule includes irregular hours, evenings, and/or weekends.
• Duties involve working both indoors and outdoors under different types of weather conditions.
• This position requires mandatory drug testing.
• The physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs., walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis is required.
• The appropriate driver’s license must be valid and current.
• Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment or placement into the position.
• Proof of education is required at the time of application.
• Good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease (verified through physical examination). Immunizations must be current including annual influenza vaccinations.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma. Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner. Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job. Requires a commercial drivers license (CDL) with no restrictions to operate a passenger vehicle that carries 16 or more.
