This position is located at the Physical Fitness Facilities. Incumbents for these vacancies can be assigned to the Andrews Avenue or Fortenberry-Colton Physical Fitness Facility. Duties

Clean rooms, corridors, stairways, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, strip and polish using brooms, mops, lightweight equipment such as vacuum cleaners and lightweight floor scrubbers, waxers, and buffers. Dust, wax and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean, disinfect and deodorize bathroom and toilet facilities. Empty trash. Make beds and change linen. Wash mirrors, walls, windows, and blinds. Provide and replenish toiletries and room condiments. Note condition of room and report any conditions requiring maintenance or repair. Maintain stock of room and cleaning supplies and condiments to perform assigned duties.

Requirements

• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Must attend Team Member Orientation within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
• This is a flexible position. Flexible positions have no guaranteed hours. A flexible employee serves in a continuing position on a scheduled or as needed basis.
• Must be willing to work days, evening, weekends and holidays.
• Required standing and walking on hard and carpeted surfaces with some bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of items and carts weighing up to 20.

Qualifications

Applicant must be able to follow simple oral instructions and use hand or light weight powered cleaning tools and equipment as described which generally require no prior training or previous work experience. Best Qualified Criteria: Must possess at least three (3) months Custodial experience. **Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications and best qualifying criteria will be referred to the selecting official first.
