You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTEMENT of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.
Duties
You will provide coordination for the development of facilities project documentation, including completion of required Environmental and/or Real Estate supporting documentation for assigned installation(s).
You will provide the leadership, coordination, and oversight necessary to accomplish space management analysis and site approval determination, working with installation and region leaders, program managers, and consultants.
You will ensure plans are developed and executed in a manner consistent with long-term planning, Navy requirements, and the Leadership guidelines.
You will perform careful analysis to determine which projects should be undertaken, prioritize these, establish a cost, and present before higher-level review boards or decision-makers.
You will be responsible for lifecycle planning for assigned facilities.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Planning, coordinating, or directing activities of engineers, architects, community planners, and/or engineering technicians who are responsible for performing various tasks necessary to provide facility management planning and support to assigned installations; 2) Managing projects associated with managing and maintaining facilities, land, and other resources existing within the assigned installation that may include piers, air fields, hangars, harbors, family housing, utilities, storage areas, etc.; and 3) Applying extensive and thorough knowledge of the principles, concepts, theories, and practices of community planning, architecture, and engineering sufficient to review engineering proposals, drawings, specifications, etc. used in the planning, design, construction, alteration and/or repair of facilities and to provide technical advice.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess
Degree: Community planning; or related field such as urban affairs, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, sociology, geography, economics, political science, or public administration that included at least 12 semester hours in the planning process, socioeconomic and physical elements of planning, urban and regional economic analysis, and development finance.Note: Applicants with degrees in related fields, such as those listed above, who do not have the 12 semester hours of specified course work must have had at least 1 year of work experience in community planning acquired under the supervision and guidance of a community planner.
OR
Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major in one of the above disciplines, or a combination of related courses totaling at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the above disciplines of which at least 12 semester hours were in the planning process, and socioeconomic and physical elements of planning, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
