In this position you will serve as the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor, provide technical and administrative supervision over subordinate supervisor, and workers in accomplishing trades and labor work, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and repair of facilities and infrastructure.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters relevant to HVAC Systems.
Ensure education in, compliance with, and practice of security directives, good safety, and health in all work areas.
Assign work to individuals and provides technical direction.
Perform administration responsibilities. Advises employees of performance expectations and explains new work technique, as required.
Participate in the IG Wing Inspection program.
Participate in employee and labor management matters with HR professionals.
Deliver presentations on program status to leadership, including, accomplishments, solutions, and future requirements for support.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Obtain and maintain Security clearance.
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical.
- The work will require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid state driver's license will be required for the position.
- May be required to participate as a member of the Group Control Center, Emergency Operations Center, and/or as Staff Duty Officer.

- Incumbent must maintain flight line driving certification.
- Emergency overtime may be required.
- The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- May be required to participate in base contingency exercises.
- Shift work may be required.
- May be required to train/guide lower-graded (or other trades) military/civilian employees.
- Must obtain and maintain a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
- Certifications/Licensure - Position requires CFC/NCFC Certification (universal) as required by 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F., EPA.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-4700 - General Maintenance and Operations Work Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

DESIRED SKILLS:
Five years HVAC industry or field operations experience desired.
Five years of increasingly responsible experience in management or supervisory role desired.
Five years of pipefitting experience desired.
