Duties

Performs evaluation and assessment of higher level concepts, programs, and directives pertaining to TACOM and Command-level missions and identifies required changes or modification of functional business processes. Performs continuing analysis of the Army Equipment Safety and Maintenance Notification System (AESMNS) to identify opportunities or requirements for increased effectiveness, efficiency, and emphasis. Maintains policies, procedures, and directives which document the methods, techniques, programs, plans and processes required to provide AESMNS support for TACOM weapon systems. Conducts studies and comprehensive analysis of system procedures, methods, and practices pertaining to AESMNS system applications. Performs functional analysis and evaluation of TACOM activities involved in providing logistics support and weapon system management. Provides logistic support guidance and assistance for matters relating to process identification and improvement and provides policy/procedural guidance across TACOM which impact throughout the Command. Interprets, develops, implements, maintains and coordinates policy received from internal/external sources by writing automated systems, fixes and enhancements to present systems Provide critical staff support and guidance to functional managers for Safety of Use, Ground Safety Action and Maintenance Advisory Messages in order to ensure that specialized functional activities are planned, scheduled, and performed Develop, coordinate, and maintains policies, procedures, and directives which document the methods, techniques, programs, plans and processes required to provide GSNS support for TACOM weapon systems.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes understanding and interpreting of Army maintenance procedures outlined in AR 750-1; interpreting Military Safety and Maintenance Notification System and Army Materiel Maintenance policies, procedures, and directives; providing logistics and weapon system management support; understanding of Modification Work Order policy, procedures, and directives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Information ManagementPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
