This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Community Living, Administration for Community Living (ACL), Center for Regional Operations (CRO), located in Kansas City, Missouri. **This announcement will be open for 10 business days OR until the first 50 applications have been received, whichever happens first.**

Duties

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Administration for Community Living (ACL), Center for Regional Operations (CRO). ACL is the principal agency in the department designated to lead aging and disability programs. The incumbent of this position serves as the ACL Regional Administrator, representing the ACL at the regional level. The incumbent serves as the regional representative for the services, support and programs ACL provides and funds, which includes expertise and dedicating a large portion of their work on quality administration and oversight of OAA programs. The Regional Administrator is responsible for carrying out the mission of ACL in the assigned region. Incumbent serves as a regional focal point for ACL as the effective and visible advocate, ambassador, and convener within the Federal government and of stakeholders in the assigned region.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: GS-14: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (4) of the (5) duties listed below: 1. Providing information to senior leadership concerning critical health and human service issues, including regarding Older Americans Act programs; 2. Planning, coordinating, and monitoring regional programs oriented to the delivery of services for any of the following: older adults, individuals with disabilities, tribal elders, and/or caregivers; 3. Providing leadership, direction, and/or management on the development and implementation of Older Americans Act and other programs that yield measurable results for aging and disability network; 4. Advising stakeholders within Older Americans Act and other community living programs on initiatives and practices to ensure policies are efficiently implemented; 5. Collaborating with work groups to develop resolutions of Older Americans Act and other program and polices issues and coordinate resolution efforts.
