Duties
Serve as Data Analytics Site Cell Senior advisor for DFAS Indianapolis Operations responsible for overseeing project efforts, managing team's project pipeline, and updating Senior leadership and project stakeholders.
Review and evaluate business area data needs, identifying and scoping data projects, defining requirements and data sources to design and develop data solutions that results in business insights, increased data efficiency, or improved use of data.
Monitors and leads projects in conjunction with supervisor ensuring effective and timely accomplishment of such projects to include coaching and advising junior team members.
Communicates data analysis and findings in a clear, concise and actionable manner in presentation and report format.
Advocate and educate on data analytics best practices using outreach, training, and mentorship ensuring mission areas can sustain data solutions built by team.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
GS-12 specialized experience is defined as: applying finance and accounting regulations to perform complex data analytics of accounting, financial, and administrative data in order make recommendations to management to aide in financial decisions an improve program efficiencies.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Education
There is no substitution of education for qualifying experience at the GS-13 grade level.
