Duties
Incumbent serves as a senior military integration program manager over a matrix team of engineering/scientific positions .
Responsible for program management functions as they relate to the design and construction of military projects throughout the United States.
Requires the application of extensive knowledge on a national basis of all phases of military project development, integration and execution (programming as well as design and construction).
Responsible for carrying out a range of coordinating, coaching, facilitating, problem solving, integrating, reviewing, and support duties in support of the unit.
Participate in monthly Directorate of Military Programs Management Review (DMR) meetings, briefing senior MSC staffs on the status of significant issues and products, and facilitating or recommending actions to ensure timely resolution.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain all required Program Management (Practitioner) ACQUISITION PROGRAM training within 24 months of start date.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

This is a Term Position:
Position may be filled as a Term appointment NTE 13 months. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of eight years and may be made permanent without further competition.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Exercising managerial control over lifecycle execution of military construction programs; 2) Providing technical guidance/oversight/leadership to team members for various military construction projects; and 3) Resolving military program issues that are either political or technical in nature in order to maintain program schedule, budget and scope. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
