About the Position: The incumbent will serve as the primary supply agent for the BW&T/Ala Coosa Project Management Office, which includes a large floating plant, survey vessels, and nine locks and dams.
Duties
Ensures requisitions contain proper justifications, authorizations, and funding sources.
Works with and advises other Project personnel on proper procedures, record keeping and execution of local procurement program.
Receives bill of materials for parts, bulk items, supplies, equipment, and services for specials individual jobs.
Review proposed purchases to ensure they are in accordance with fiscal property plan, review justifications, and recommend actions for property requests no on plan.
Initiate, prepare, edit and process requisitions for supplies, services, and equipment.
Performs acceptance inspection on equipment, materials, and supplies purchased.
Serves as Training Coordinator/Administrator for the Project.
Coordinate and monitor employees’ development and training based on the organization’s goals.

- This position requires to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Temporary duty travel of 10% is required.

Minimum Qualifications for the GS-2005-07
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes meeting 3 of the 7 criteria: 1) Serving as a supply agent for a Project preparing orders and generating vendor reports. 2) Make small purchases utilizing a division/project credit card in accordance with policies and procedures to include maintaining purchase files. 3) Review proposed purchases to ensure they are in accordance with project policy and plans. 4) Utilize an automated financial management system, obligating funds, and preparing documentation file for purchases. 5) Maintain billing and payment logs for a project. 6) Prepare reconciliation of accounts for certification. 7) Oversight and point of contact for all Project training needs utilizing a training system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
