This positions supports the Roads and Trails branch of the Facilities Management Division in Yosemite National Park.

Duties
Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately November to November, and you will be in a non-pay status for two weeks of the year.
As a Mobile Equipment Servicer you will,
Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of automotive equipment, including automobiles, light to medium trucks, crawler tractors, wheel tractors, air compressors, cranes, motor graders, snow plows, and generator plants.
Operate 19,500 GVW trucks to perform duties on road calls.
Repair and change tires, replace exhaust pipes and mufflers.
Make minor repairs and adjustment, replace shock absorbers, balance wheels, pack wheel bearings, inspect vehicle for damage and unsafe conditions of steering gear, brakes, and tires.
Keep work area clean, steam cleans vehicle, parts and equipment.
Wash and polish cars, fit tire chains to cars and trucks.
Repair and rebuild tire chains for snowplows.
Assist journeyman mechanics in minor and major repairs of all type of equipment.
Must handle heavy parts and large truck and grader tires and wheels ranging from 10 pounds to several hundred pounds.
Perform preventive maintenance in out-laying areas and at times in inclement weather conditions.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Ability to perform the work of the position without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT)
Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc.
Technical Practices (Theoretical, precise, artistic)
Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, ec. (includes blueprint reading)
Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment.
