This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Field Operations - Region I in Springfield, MA. The LRS will collaborate with public/private sector agencies to ensure that identified underserved communities have knowledge and access to SBA and other federal, state, and community programs/resources that support entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Duties
The Lender Relations Specialist is responsible for:
Market all SBA lending programs and service through outreach and marketing.
Conduct outreach, training, education, development, lender recruitment, consultation and working with assigned lenders in the District,
Conduct face-to-face visits with individual lending institution for the purpose of delivering SBA loan programs and services in the District
Conduct or participate in training sessions designed to ensure SBA programs and services are optimized in the various financial organizations served by the District.
Provide assistance through consultative and customer interactions with lenders.
Spanish speaking is not required but is preferred.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
Qualifications
GS-12: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector in performing the following duties working independently: in commercial or business loan proposal development, packaging, and structuring; and marketing lending programs and services to external customers through outreach activities; and conducting formal training or professional development; and in the growth and development of a customer base; and using a variety of software applications and technologies in all aspects of the job.
