You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER (NUCLEAR) in the Test Engineering Division - Code 2340, in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.9% will be added to the stated salary.
Duties
You will supervise ten subordinates consisting of nuclear engineers, engineering technicians and other support staff.
You will exercise both administrative and technical supervision over subordinates.
You will identify developmental and training needs of employees and makes provision for such development and training.
You will supervise an efficient and economical position structure which will best serve mission needs by providing the optimum balance between such elements as economy, efficiency, skills utilization, employee motivation and employee development.
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing nuclear test training program requirements.
You will be responsible for developing schedules to include milestone dates, professional development training, and other workforce development training requirements.
You will liaison with other shipyard training specialists to ensure that training is delivered to nuclear testing engineering personnel with adequate quality and cost effectiveness.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing and administering nuclear test training programs by analyzing effectiveness of programs or projects to ensure safe and efficient workplace operations.
