This National Guard position is for a Traffic Management Specialist (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5261000 and is part of the G4 located in Draper, UT with the Utah Army National Guard. *Your resume must reflect in detail how the duties and responsibilities under each position you have held with each employer meets the below listed general and specialized experience required for the position. **Must include beginning and ending dates of employment stated as MM/YYYY; and total hours worked per week in order to determine part time vs. full time credit. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of and understanding of administrative, professional, analytical, or other work relating to traffic or transportation programs or operations. Must be skilled in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Experience using computer and automation systems. Specialized Experience GS-09: Must have 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. **Must provide SF 50 to validate** OR Experience involving the movement of freight or passengers and determining transportation and operating costs. Experience participating in the direction and coordination of traffic management functions. Experience interpreting and providing routine advice on carrier tariffs and related routing guides. Interpreting regulations/requirements and developing local policies to implement changes effectively. Experience applying applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures. Experience preparing reports and recommendations involving appeals, special permits, adjustments in rates and charges. Experience which involved negotiations with carriers on individual shipments or traffic movement. Experience in making effective presentations both orally and in writing? Specialized Experience GS-11: Must have 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-2130-9? **Must submit SF 50 for verification** OR Experience, performing, administering, or supervising technical and analytical work concerned with planning, development and execution of traffic policies and programs. Experience interpreting applicable Federal, State, and local laws, and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures. Knowledge of transportation requirements and systems for specific geographic areas (International and Continental United States)?
