You will serve a COMMUNITY PLANNING TECHNICIAN in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND MARIANAS.

Duties

You will perform a variety of duties in the development of on-site planning documentation for projects involving construction, sustainment, restoration, modernization or emergency repair. You will provide management with the appropriate facility planning information necessary to make the best decisions for the station and Region. You will review planning work orders, conduct on-site visits and communicate with customers to define related project requirements. You will prepare and present technical briefings, provide technical consultations, point papers and special reports to higher authorities. You will develop work packages by providing layouts, scopes, cost-estimates, feasibility and technical studies and design.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
  • You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specilaized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Preparing basic construction and repair project documentation, conducting asset and site evaluations to facilitate in land use planning and site approvals.
