Serves as a Maintenance Worker in the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) Headquarters. The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the DeCA Headquarters building and grounds, assure a safe environment for DeCA's workforce, perform preventative maintenance on building systems such as the back up generator system, perform daily safety and fire prevention checks throughout the HQ building and grounds.

Duties

Perform grounds maintenance to include yard care, tree pruning, snow removal and care of flowers and shrubs. Perform minor plumbing and fixtures repairs such as sinks, faucets, commodes, urinals, showers and garbage disposals. Inspect and performs building maintenance including minor carpentry and painting. Load and unloads heavy boxes, bulky supplies and materials to and from the truck or dollies. Use pallet jack to move, stack and un-stack, load and unload materials and operates a 5-ton truck to transport bulk materials. Read the entire announcement before starting the application process.
