About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA, a rural town in Northern California. Herlong is approximately 60 miles north of Reno, NV, and 35 miles south of Susanville, CA. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center. Employees work Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and child care available. Mass transportation is available at minimal cost. Surrounding area boasts a full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities.

Duties

Utilize qualitative and quantitative techniques for developing new or modified work methods, approaches or procedures. Build detailed and specific briefings received by three levels of commanders up to HQ AMC. Conducts method improvement analysis Provides technical support to PMs in the process of reporting targeted projects for upward reporting/information and preparing executive summary briefings.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Temporary Duty Travel, TDY may be required up to 5% of the time.
• DA Level One (1) certification required within twelve (12) months of placement.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• Position may be converted to permanent without further competition.
• Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years.
• Temporary reassignment may be made or extended at management discretion.
• Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years.
