Duties
You will plan, coordinate and facilitate cargo operations such as: meeting aircraft departure schedule, providing documentation and certification of cargo loads and create load manifest and hazardous material documentation.
You will ensure the safe receipt, storage and movement of hazardous material, toxic materials, or ammunition in accordance with all installation orders and directives.
You will operate the A-45 mid-range tow tractor and A-48 large land-based tow tractor to move and park aircraft and set tensioning of the runway arresting gear for emergency fighter jet recovery.
You will provide a means for scheduling of refueling/de-fueling of all arriving/departing transient aircraft and all support equipment.
You will ensure compliance with established safety and security policies and regulations and report all incidents/accidents.
You will be responsible for maintaining and determining serviceability of cargo support material.
You will provide passenger service by ensuring cargo support with on and off loading, securing, certifying documentation, checking in passengers and their baggage, responding to inquiries and concerns, and transporting to/from scheduled aircraft.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- Position requires hazardous materials handling/driving.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Position is subject to 24-hour recall.
- Position requires shift work.
