This position is located at Deputy Asst. Commissioner, Modernization, Innovation & Payment Resolution Payment and Mail Operations Branch in Philadelphia. As a Peripheral Equipment Operator, you will issue federal payments and sensitive financial documents on behalf of federal agencies.
Duties
As a Peripheral Equipment Operator;
In the printing operations rotation, you will access the Payment Automated Manager (PAM) system applications to identify and prepare files for printing on IBM 4100 high speed printers.
In the enclosing operations rotation, you will gather the appropriate supplies, so the print job is properly folded and placed in the correct envelope with the right insert, if required.
In the mail operations rotation, you will pre-sort and coordinate workflow so the jobs are sorted and prepared for pick up and mailing by the USPS.
While serving as the workflow coordinator, you will monitor the monthly payment calendars and coordinate with the pre-sorter to ensure all the mail required for that day's mail date is sleeved, banded, and labeled.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. This position requires long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching and similar activities as well as lifting, moving, carrying trays of moderate weight, and pushing moderate to heavy trucks, carts, etc.
General Experience: You must have one year of general experience which includes progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
OR
You may substitute education for general or specialized experience as follows: 2 years of education above high school.
