About the Position: This position is with Public Health - West, Fort Johnson Vet Branch located at Camp Leroy Johnson, LA.

Duties

Provides administrative services support to the Branch OIC/NCOIC and other team members. Preparing and processing purchase requests for the branch, government purchase card holder (order supplies and maintain records in accordance with established regulations/procedures). Utilizes various data bases to keep track of the Branch Appropriated Fund budget. Aids travelers in navigating the intricacies of the Defense Travel System. Receives visitors and phone calls. Responsible for maintenance of records and files, utilizes a variety of office automation applications (i.e. computer programs) to manage information and data, and types a wide variety of correspondence, reports, records, documents, etc.

OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
