Duty Location: Denver, Colorado
Duties
Performs receptionist duties to include greeting guests, answering phones, and booking conference rooms.
Provides information accurately and clearly when communicating with co-workers, customers, supervisors, managers, and the public.
Maintains the property management program for the Property Warehouses that includes accountability and physical inventory of government property.
Maintains accountability records and files on property changes related to shipping, receiving, disposals, donations, and transfers.
Utilizes the established inventory control process to identify furniture requirements for planned builds and provides feedback to the Facilities Specialists.
Prepares Reports of Survey, property vouchers, and disposal documents that reflect changes to personal property records.
Operates a personal computer to input data, correct data, search for records, prepare item descriptions, manage and report inventory, and to document justifications for any changes to inventory management or process.
Qualifications

GS-05: To qualify at the GS-05, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-04 level in Federal service having demonstrated experience that includes all of the following: 1) Reading space drawings, designs, and/or floor plans; 2) knowledge of inventory procedures; 3) familiarity with conventional furniture assembly/disassembly; and 4) experience operating a personal computer to perform records search and/or data input.
You could otherwise qualify on the basis of Education having successfully completed four full years of education above the high school level for which high school graduation or the equivalent was a prerequisite. You may combine specialized experience and education to meet the minimum qualifications.
GS-06: To qualify at the GS-06, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-05 level in Federal service having demonstrated experience that includes all of the following: 1) Reading and interpreting space drawings, designs, and/or floor plans to construct furniture; 2) experience with supply accountability procedures; 3) identifying and using the appropriate inventory methods for tracking various types of property; 4) using tools and best practices required to assemble/disassemble conventional furniture; and 5) inputting data into information system databases.
GS-07: To qualify at the GS-07, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-06 level in Federal service having demonstrated experience that includes all of the following: 1) Analyzing space drawings, designs, and/or floor plans to construct furniture and identify discrepancies; 2) experience with property accountability procedures including receiving, utilization, and disposal of property; 3) identifying and using the appropriate inventory methods for tracking various types of property; 4) using tools and best practices required to assemble/disassemble conventional furniture; and 5) inputting data into information system databases and extracting selected information via queries.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Applicants eligible under the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA) are not required to meet time-in-grade restrictions in order to be considered.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment: The work includes walking, sitting, standing, bending, crouching, twisting, and lying on the ground among other positions when: inspecting and writing reports on vehicles; installing, storing, moving, lifting and assembling systems or conventional furniture. The work includes carrying office machines/equipment; and moving shipments of property. About 40% of work is sedentary, working with automated computer programs, compiling reports researching, reviewing drawings and preparing paperwork. Work requires employee to drive a variety of vehicles and operate a variety of warehouse type mechanical equipment such as, but not limited to, trucks, forklifts, electric pallet jacks and stackers. Items lifted and carried, with equipment assistance, may weigh 100 pounds. (Normally, items handled and or manipulated by one individual will not exceed 75 pounds.) Employee will exercise personal safety precautions and request assistance when attempting to move and/or manipulate items exceeding 75 pounds. The work will include use of power operated warehouse equipment for heavy or bulky items to the maximum extent possible.

Education
This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience at the GS-05 grade level.
You must submit a copy of college transcript(s) (unofficial copy is acceptable) to support claimed education if substituting education for experience. Transcripts must include the name of the college or university and date the degree was conferred. A typed list of courses, grades, semester/quarter hours, GPA, etc. will not be accepted. Non-submission may result in being rated not-qualified for the position.
