The Office of Inspector General is an independent office within the Environmental Protection Agency that helps the agency protect the environment in a more efficient & cost effective manner. We perform audits, evaluations, & investigations of the EPA to promote economy, efficiency, and to prevent and detect fraud, waste and abuse. Duties

This position is located in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Inspector General. The EPA OIG is responsible for detecting and deterring waste, fraud, and abuse, and promote efficiency and effectiveness in the programs and operations of the EPA and the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board, in accordance with the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended. The incumbent serves as the AIG for Strategic Analysis and Results. As the AIG OSAR, the incumbent is a member of the OIG senior leadership team actively involved in the executive decision-making process.

Qualifications

MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQs): In addition, all applicants must submit a separate written narrative response to each of the following MTQs. Please give examples and explain how often you used your skills, the complexity of the knowledge possessed, the level of people you interacted with, the sensitivity of the issues you handled managing a large public or private sector organization that administers complex, rules-based benefits or services, etc. You must submit your narrative response to each of the MTQs below (not to exceed 2 pages per MTQ) with your application through USAJobs. Failure to address each of the MTQs below will result in your application being disqualified. MTQ 1 -Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and enterprise-wide risk assessment and analysis necessary to support the mission of the organization. MTQ 2 - Demonstrated expert knowledge of and experience in designing, implementing and leading an enterprise-wide data analytics function and providing data driven metrics which inform strategic decisions that help to move an organization forward. Includes the ability to communicate highly technical information through oral, visual, and written communications.. MTQ 3 - Demonstrated experience in program management relating to strategic policies and plans in according with existing laws, regulations, and policies.
