Duties

Manage Engineering Technician work as it is processed through the work cycle from start to work completion for contracting requirements for facilities management doing public works projects. Maintain effective customer relations through an extensive customer service program and follows-up with the customer to ensure work meets customer satisfaction. Perform duties as Assistant Contracting Officer Representative and assists Contracting Officer Representative in managing and administering Utilities Services and Municipal Services.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A secret clearance is required throughout this appointment.
  • Incumbent must submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, 5 CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08. Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report must be submitted upon entering the position and annually.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and retain State Driver's License.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) business travel may be required approximately 5 percent of the time.

Assist with Engineering Technician work as it is processed through the work cycle from beginning to work accomplishment for contract work such as design, permits changes to construction. Work to promote customer service assisting with gathering info to review with the customer to ensure the plans meet their needs. Provide financial information to the Contracting Officer Representative so they may verify the budget and money spent is within compliance. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer ServiceFinancial AnalysisTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-9).
