This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Public Works, Operations and Maintenance Division at Fort Riley, Kansas.
Duties
Monitor, control and document contract operations for the Directorate of Public Works.
Recognize and evaluate the safety and health hazards of construction sites.
Evaluate contractor performance against contractual requirements.
Inspect completed projects and services provided by contractors and report any violations of the contract.
Identify problem areas and recommend solutions to resolve contract issues.
Coordinate maintenance, requisition, and receipt of supplies for installation activities.
Primary point of contact for all warranty repairs for construction projects.
Conduct surveys and inspections of buildings, equipment areas, work practices, operations, facilities, mechanical processes and personnel to determine compliance with occupational safety standards.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience experience monitoring work for compliance with contract requirements and using a variety of contracting processes to provide oversight for construction and engineering projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
