You will serve as an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the ORDNANCE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NMCPAC CWD DET LEMOORE.

Duties

You will manage materials by receiving, reviewing, and monitoring incoming requisitions and take appropriate action to ensure completion. You will make substitutions or initiate referrals, and coordinates actions to meet required delivery dates priorities. You will oversee status of requisitions. You will respond to due-in, load schedule/plan, vessel allowance, foreign military sales (FMS), renovation, rework, assembly/disassembly. researching and coordinating corrective actions. You will provide detailed technical advice and assistance in areas of specialized ordnance management to support Fleet, navy region Southwest, and other customers. You will be responsible for analyzing, planning and coordinating layouts of warehouses, sheds, magazines and outside storage areas related to space control. You will be responsible for producing the yearly physical inventory schedule of locations requiring annual/semiannual counts.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Hazardous Material certification.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing supply support using an ordinance inventory management database system and freight scheduling. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree
Or
Have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree.
Or
Have obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.
Or
Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
