Duties
You will serve as a Personnel Psychologist for the United States EODGRU-1 within the Human Performance and Wellness (HPW) Directorate.
You will provide innovative strength, conditioning, human performance, and cognitive training, focusing on: pre-habilitation, physical training, physical therapy, dietetics, mental health matters, rehabilitation, and transition performance.
You will provide cognitive performance, command cognitive health, fitness, and readiness education to the EOD FRP staff and command leadership; via briefings, classes, seminars, and/or workshops.
You will evaluate, analyze, research, and implement program guidance regarding mental performance for the EOD FRP Director to validate current and future requirements.
You will provide analysis on emerging mission requirements for the purpose of identifying new resources, facilities, budget, and/or programs.
You will provide advisement to the EOD FRP Director on cognitive performance resources (e.g., contracting, procurement, budget, facilities, and equipment).
You will conduct analysis and research on cognitive performance aspects of the EOD FRP.
You will provide information about mental performance, exercise and sports psychology factors in sports, exercise, and physical activity.
You will train and educate EODGRU-1 personnel, in individual and group settings, in specific cognitive, mental, behavioral, psychosocial, perceptual, learning, adaptive thinking, human engagements, and emotional control skills, strategies
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Incumbent may be required to work later in the day as scheduled with the supervisor to accommodate personnel in Hawaii and Guam.
- The incumbent may be assigned a government cell phone and be required to be in an On-Call status after hours and on weekends.
- You will be required to wear and use personal protective equipment as required and provided by the employer.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting comprehensive teaching and training in individual and group settings in various topics, (such as specific cognitive, mental, behavioral, psychosocial, perceptual, learning, adaptive thinking, human engagements, and emotional control skills, strategies), and developing and implementing innovative and/or unprecedented cognitive performance concepts to evaluate current and future requirements for the overall health, fitness, and readiness posture of the force.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual for the PERSONNEL PSYCHOLOGIST: Applicants must possess a degree with a major or equivalent in psychology for all specializations except clinical psychology and counseling psychology. These two specializations have additional educational requirements.
OR
have successfully completed all the requirements for a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology
OR
have successfully completed 2 full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or successfully completed all the requirements for a master's degree directly related to counseling psychology in an accredited educational institution.
