About the position: This position will be assigned to the Resource Management Flight. This position includes the opportunity to enroll in Health and Life Insurance, 401K and Retirement, Annual and Sick Leave.
Scheduled hours will be 40 per week
Duties
Applicants will be reviewed and referred on the following dates: Aug 2, 2024, Aug 12, 2024, and closing on Aug 23, 2024. Announcement will close once position is filled.
Independently performs computerized double-entry accrual accounting in order to maintain a combination of computer generated journals and ledgers on a fiscal year basis. Examines, verifies, and analyzes a variety of documents to determine their mathematical validity and accuracy prior to updating the general ledger. These documents may include, but are not limited to daily cashier's reports, accounts receivable applications/reports, accounts payable, inventories, property records, invoices, purchase orders, contracts, call registers, Blanket Purchase Agreements, price lists, catalogs, statements of work, etc. May process daily electronic funds transfers and check writing transactions. Assist in establishing and processing schedules of input and reconciliations of transactions relating to accounting codes, purchasing requirements, club card transactions, general ledger, etc. Must insure accuracy of input from accounting areas and effective controls for reconciling all accounts on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, to reflect the financial condition of the activities serviced by the accounting/financial office. Prepares a variety of documents and vouchers from daily transactions for trial balance. Maintains subsidiary records and performs reconciliation of transactions entering the general ledger. Accomplishes control logs for subsidiary records and formulates a variety of spreadsheets for control accounts, analyzes property records and input, and any other accountability records deemed necessary. Processes and validates financial input/output data and verifies reports from the computerized systems. Serves as the Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) for the 45th FSS. Provides information on proper use and safe operation of equipment and vehicles to operators, using a computer and available software to record vehicle data and update records. Coordinates vehicle requests with Transportation, GSA (Cape Operations) and DRMO. Ensures that assigned vehicles are maintained in a safe and operable condition. Processes requests to have automotive repair or service work done. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have knowledge of accounting/financial reporting, process, distribution of funds, sources of funds, accounts receivable, cashier, inventory, accounts payable, payroll and general ledger operations. Must plan and carry out the financial validation process in accordance with Air Force directives. Must have knowledge of various computer systems. Must have progressively responsible experience with most of the duties described herein, which demonstrate the ability to satisfactorily perform at the grade and level of this position.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
